Attention homebrewers! Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday, March 17th, 2015, Castle Rock has come out with a few new recipes for stouts to put your St. Patrick’s Day over the top. If you start now, they should be ready to serve for Lá Fhéile Pádraig, “the Day of the Festival of Patrick”!

NEW! Dark Chocolate Stout – The name pretty much speaks for itself; if you want the sweet taste of dark chocolate to dominate your stout this is the one for you. We would offer you a little taste before you try it out for yourself, but we ran out of our test batch in about 1 week! So you just have to take our word for it when we say it is de-licious! Available in an Extract Kit

NEW! Black Pearl Stout – Still chocolaty, but not as intense as the above mentioned stout. This one features the South American de-husked malt, giving it a smooth chocolate slash roasty flavor. If you want a semi-sweet finish, do as we did and add a touch of lactose.

The Left Hand Milk Stout Clone is recognized by most Coloradians. A full pound of lactose will give this favorite stout the sweetness that it is known for.

Outmeal Stout lives up to its name, giving you a big, chewy mouthfeel.

Irish Stout is a classic at any St. Patrick’s day celebration. To make it easy for you, we’ve got an extract kit. No St. Patrick’s day party, event, parade or celebration is complete without the classic Irish Stout.
