This is a great opportunity to learn about the Belgian Beer World from the best in beer instruction. But you might want to save your spot early because there is a 25 person limit to the course.

Better Beer Scores and Castle Rock Homebrew Supply introduces you to the world’s most interesting beer culture through The World of Belgian Beers class.

And while we are on the subject of Belgian Beers, here is a very interesting video on Chimay and Trappist Beer.

The brewing of Trappist beers takes place in Trappist monasteries. For a beer to qualify for Trappist certification, the brewery must be in a monastery, the monks must play a role in its production and the policies and the profits from the sale must be used to support the monastery and/or social programs outside. Only ten monasteries currently meet these qualifications, six of which are in Belgium, two in the Netherlands, one in Austria and one in the United States. Trappist beer is a controlled term of origin: it tells where the beers come from, it is not the name of a beer style. Beyond saying they are mostly top-fermented, the Trappist beers have very little in common stylistically.
